Quebec hospitals are devastated and it’s only going to get more flawed

Quebec hospital’s condition going to be worse: 

The Quebec government states it’s running to see more teams to deal with an expected rise in hospitalizations.

The region’s healthcare research institute, the INESSS, indicates the necessity for hospital beds will almost double in the next two weeks and that will probably lead to more surgery holds, but already hospitals across Quebec are at power.

The institute counts 3,000 standard hospital beds and another 400 intensive care beds will be required.

Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé stated the hospital condition will be crucial over the following two weeks.

Quebec hospitals overwhelmed health officers state

“The Omicron wave is really like a tidal wave that is cleaning overall Western countries,” he stated Thursday. Source – cbc.ca

“We are not only seeing an upsurge in the number of patients in our hospitals, but we are also seeing that we are losing even more team every day.” Source – cbc.ca

Dubé stated nearly 20,000 healthcare employees are off the job because they have been contaminated with the virus.

“We are in talk with the unions to find the required staff to be able to reopen at least 1,000 additional beds,” he stated. He stated the Omicron wave has not yet struck a plateau and is persisting to spread through the community. Source – cbc.ca
